Hydrogen Water Bottle FAQ
Everything you want to know about hydrogen water and the two Peakspan devices, answered honestly.
Hydrogen water, in plain termsWhat the water is, what a PPB figure means, and why the number moves.
What is hydrogen water?
Hydrogen water is drinking water containing dissolved molecular hydrogen (H₂). Research findings are study-specific; they do not establish that this bottle prevents, treats or cures any condition. Ten human studies are summarised, with their limitations, on the Science page.
What does PPB mean?
Parts per billion, the concentration of dissolved molecular hydrogen in the water. 1,000 PPB equals 1 PPM. A concentration figure only means something next to its method: the water used, the cycle time and when the measurement was taken. The answer above is the short version; the entry below is the same answer with the actual numbers and report references attached, for anyone who wants to check the figures against their methods. From the evidence register, in answer to: “What does PPB mean?” Parts per billion, how much molecular hydrogen is dissolved in water; 1,000 PPB is 1 PPM. The H88 manufacturer lists 4,000 PPB in 5 min · 8,000 PPB in 10 min. QTT measured 8,600 PPB in the sealed cup immediately after one 10-minute cycle (LH2025110014-1, manufacturer-commissioned). The W10-2 pitcher runs at a gentler everyday concentration; no figure is published because seven sources conflict and no hydrogen test exists.
How does the bottle make hydrogen water?
The H88 manufacturer lists 5- and 10-minute electrolysis modes. It runs platinum-titanium electrode plates with a DuPont Nafion N117 PEM/SPE membrane. For W10-2, two electrode chambers are visible and four sellers list a 3-minute cycle, with twin electrode chambers. Every specification we hold for both devices is set out on the Specifications page.
Why does the hydrogen disappear so quickly?
Hydrogen is the smallest molecule there is, and only a little of it will stay dissolved in water, so it begins leaving as soon as the surface is open to the air. That is why the independent measurement was taken in the sealed cup immediately after one 10-minute cycle (QTT report LH2025110014-1) rather than in an open glass some minutes later, and it is why the Flask is built as a sealed vessel. A concentration quoted without saying when and in what vessel it was taken does not tell you very much.
Does hydrogen water taste different?
Dissolved molecular hydrogen is colourless and odourless and carries no taste of its own, so the water tastes of whatever you started with, the source water, the temperature, the cup. Some people describe a slightly softer mouthfeel. That is a personal impression, not something anyone has measured for us, so we make no claim about it.
What's the difference from filtered or alkaline water?
Filters are intended to remove specified substances; alkaline systems change measured water chemistry; hydrogen-water devices dissolve molecular hydrogen. Use low-mineral water (TDS below 5) in both devices.
The two devicesA 320 ml bottle you carry and a 2 litre jug that stays on the counter.
Flask or Pitcher, which one is for me?
The Flask is 320 ml and made to move: gym, office, travel. The Pitcher makes 2 litres at a time and lives on the kitchen counter for the whole household. Plenty of people run both, the Peak Stack bundles them for AED 999 and saves AED 149. To put numbers beside that: the Flask runs 5- and 10-minute modes and carries its own battery pack; the Pitcher is listed with a 3-minute cycle and its production power configuration is not yet confirmed. The Flask is also the device with independent test reports behind it, the Pitcher is published as an evidence record, with its open questions stated rather than papered over. Side-by-side detail is on the Specifications page; the individual records are on the H2 Quantum Flask and H2 Pitcher pages.
What actually differs between the bottle and the kettle?
Three things, mainly. Size: 320 ml you carry against 2,000 ml that stays put. Power: the Flask runs from its own battery pack, documented at 2,500 mAh, 3.7 V and 9.25 Wh in UN 38.3 report S03A25080547U00101; the Pitcher is advertised in both rechargeable and mains-powered configurations; final electrical details are announced with the production run. Evidence: the Flask has third-party water reports on submitted samples, and the Pitcher has none of its own. Both spec sheets, including the rows we leave blank, are on the Specifications page.
What is The Peak Stack?
Both devices together, the H2 Quantum Flask at AED 549 and the H2 Pitcher at AED 599, reserved as one for AED 999, a saving of AED 149 against the two launch prices (valid through 31 December 2026). It is available as one Shopify pre-order at the bundle price shown. It exists because the two do different jobs, not because a bundle looks good on a page: the bottle travels with you, the jug feeds a household.
Why publish a laboratory result for the bottle but not the kettle?
Because we only present a concentration figure as independently measured when a model-specific laboratory report states the method and the timing. The 8,600 PPB figure belongs to one submitted H88 sample, measured in the sealed cup immediately after one 10-minute cycle by Guangdong Quantum Testing Technology Co., Ltd, report LH2025110014-1, commissioned by the manufacturer. No equivalent test exists for the W10-2 pitcher, so no concentration figure is published for it. It runs at a gentler everyday rating, built for two-litre household volumes.
Water, use and careWhat goes in it, when to drink it, and what we can honestly say about cleaning.
What water should I use?
QTT used distilled water for the submitted H88 sample tests. That is a laboratory test condition, a laboratory test condition. For everyday use, fill with low-mineral water (TDS below 5); full guidance ships with the production manuals. The evidence register below records the same boundary: a laboratory test condition does not establish day-to-day compatibility guidance. From the evidence register, in answer to: “What water can I use?” Use low-mineral water (TDS below 5) in both devices. QTT used Watsons distilled water for the H88 sample tests, but that test condition does not establish compatibility with tap, mineral, filtered or other water. The factory water limit we hold is contradicted by a comparable device and has not been confirmed for the production H88, so this site does not turn it into a customer instruction. When the production specification is confirmed, it will be published here and on the product page.
When should I drink it?
Fresh. Dissolved hydrogen starts escaping the moment you open the cup, so drink within a few minutes of the cycle ending. Pre-training, post-session or first thing in the morning, the cycle is short enough to fit any of those windows. Drinking it promptly is a practical habit, because dissolved hydrogen leaves water quickly, it is not a dose. The entry below records that no optimal amount or timed protocol has been established, and we do not invent one. From the evidence register, in answer to: “How much should I drink, and when?” There is no established optimal amount and published study protocols vary. The QTT result describes water in a sealed cup immediately after a cycle; it does not establish a dose or a timed drinking protocol.
How do I clean and look after it?
What we can say without a production manual in front of us: the manufacturer lists a self-cleaning mode on the Flask, and four sellers list a three-minute backwash mode on the Pitcher. The Flask's base holds the battery and the electronics, so it is not a dishwasher item. Everything beyond that, cycle duration, how often, descaling, replaceable parts, waits for the manual, and it will be published here the moment we have it. The entry below is the evidence register's stricter version of the same point, and it is the reason the answer above stops where it does. From the evidence register, in answer to: “How do I clean it?” The H88 has a built-in self-cleaning cycle, and the W10-2 a 3-minute backwash mode. Full care instructions ship with the production manual.
Can I put anything other than water in it?
We publish nothing about that, because nothing has been verified. The only liquid any third-party report covers is the distilled water used in the QTT tests. Juice, flavoured drinks, hot liquids and anything carbonated sit outside every document we hold, so we have no basis to tell you they are fine, and we are not going to guess in either direction.
Does it need filters or replacement parts?
Neither device is a filter. Electrolysis dissolves hydrogen into water that is already in the vessel; it does not remove anything from it, so nothing here replaces a filter or a purifier, and nothing here should be read as a water-treatment claim. A consumables or replacement-part list has not been confirmed for either model, so we do not publish one.
Battery, charging and travelWhat the transport report establishes, and what the airline still decides.
How does battery and charging work?
The held H88 battery report documents a 2,500 mAh, 3.7 V, 9.25 Wh pack. Manufacturer listings describe USB or Type-C charging; final connectors, charge times and cycles per charge for both devices are announced with the production run. The held battery report documents the H88 pack, not its connector or the Pitcher. Manufacturer listings are useful context, but they do not prove the final production configuration. From the evidence register, in answer to: “How long does the battery last?” The H88-ZQ-29 battery is documented as 2,500 mAh, 3.7 V and 9.25 Wh in UN 38.3 report S03A25080547U00101. Final connectors, charge times and cycles per charge for both devices are announced with the production run.
Can I fly with it?
Yes. The Flask's battery passed all eight UN 38.3 transport tests and, at 9.25 Wh, sits far below the 100 Wh limit airlines apply to devices. Carry it empty through security and fill it airside. The test tells you about the battery; it does not tell you what a particular airline will accept on a particular day. The entry below records that boundary, because the final word at the gate belongs to the carrier, not to us. From the evidence register, in answer to: “Can I take the H2 Quantum Flask on a plane?” This site does not promise airline acceptance. UN 38.3 report S03A25080547U00101 records all eight transport tests as passed for submitted H88-ZQ-29 battery-pack samples and records 9.25 Wh. A carrier's current route and baggage rules still decide whether and how a device may travel; check them before flying.
What is UN 38.3, and why does it matter?
UN 38.3 is the United Nations transport standard for lithium batteries: eight tests covering altitude simulation, thermal cycling, vibration, shock, external short circuit, impact or crush, overcharge and forced discharge. Report S03A25080547U00101 records all eight as passed for the submitted H88-ZQ-29 battery-pack samples, and records the pack at 2,500 mAh, 3.7 V and 9.25 Wh. It is a transport-safety document about a battery, not a health approval, not a performance test, and not a ruling on any individual airline's policy. The full report is published on the Documents page, alongside what it does not cover.

Shipping, returns and warrantyThe store policies that take effect the moment a sale is completed.
Where do you ship, and what does it cost?
Delivery is free in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the European Union. Every other destination pays the real courier rate for that country, calculated and shown at checkout. Carrier and timing depend on the destination and product availability; pre-order fulfilment timing is confirmed by email. The supported destinations are listed on the Policies page.
How fast do orders go out?
We do not promise same-day dispatch. For an available item, the order confirmation and fulfilment update state the expected timing. For a pre-order, we confirm timing by email before fulfilment.
What is the 30-day return policy?
Every Peakspan H2 product comes with 30-day returns on unopened items. If you are not happy, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will arrange the return and refund you. For a change-of-mind return the product must come back unopened, unused and in its original saleable packaging; opened or used products are not returnable for change of mind, which does not limit your rights for faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods. Email info@peakspanh2.com or WhatsApp +971 54 541 1994 with your order number and we send the return instructions the same working day.
What warranty do I get?
A 1-year warranty on every product from the day it is delivered, on top of the 30-day return policy for unopened items. If a device develops a fault within the first year we repair or replace it and we cover the return shipping. For a change-of-mind return you send the product back to us within 30 days and pay the return courier yourself (returns carry no duties, so this is usually inexpensive); we refund the full price once it arrives. Contact info@peakspanh2.com with your order number and a short description or photo; your statutory rights remain in place.
How do I start a return or a fault report?
Email info@peakspanh2.com or message +971 54 541 1994 on WhatsApp with your order number and what happened. Do not send a product back until we confirm the return instructions.
Do I pay customs or import duty?
We have not published a duties-and-taxes policy yet, and we are not going to improvise one here. Import duty and local taxes are set by the destination country, not by us. Whatever applies to your order is shown in the final terms before payment; if you want to know in advance, email info@peakspanh2.com with your country and we will tell you what we know and what we do not.
Buying from the GCCShipping, currency, VAT, airlines and everyday questions from customers across the Gulf.
Do you ship to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman?
Yes. Delivery to Saudi Arabia is free, like the UAE. Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman are served by courier at 10% of the order value, shown at checkout; any local VAT or import duty is charged by your country’s customs on delivery and is paid by you. Delivery to the European Union is also free, within 72 hours of dispatch; the same 10% courier rule applies to our other international destinations.
Which currency am I charged in, and is VAT included?
Prices are shown and charged in UAE dirhams (AED). For UAE orders the price you see includes UAE VAT at 5%; nothing is added at checkout. Orders shipped outside the UAE may attract import VAT or duty in the destination country, which is charged by the destination customs, not by us.
Can I take the flask on Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways or Saudia?
The flask's battery pack is rated 9.25 Wh and the pitcher's cell 11.1 Wh, both far below the 100 Wh limit that IATA guidance and the major Gulf carriers apply to lithium batteries in carry-on baggage, and both carry a UN 38.3 transport test report published on our documents page. Lithium-battery devices belong in carry-on, not checked baggage, and acceptance is always the airline's and the airport's decision on the day: switch the device off, keep it in your hand luggage, and carry the UN 38.3 report on your phone if you want to show it.
Is hydrogen water halal, and can I use it during Ramadan?
The devices add nothing to your water except hydrogen gas made from the water itself: no flavourings, minerals, alcohol or animal-derived ingredients. The parts that touch the water are a BPA-free Tritan body, an aluminium lid and platinum-titanium electrode plates. They are appliances, so no halal certificate applies to them. During Ramadan, hydrogen water is simply water: drink it at suhoor and iftar as you would any other water.
Can I use bottled, filtered or tap water in the UAE?
Use clean drinking water, still and unflavoured: bottled water, filtered water or municipal tap water where it is safe to drink. The dissolved-hydrogen figure moves with the water you start with, its temperature and the cycle you choose, which is why our published figure names the exact method. Do not use sparkling water, juice, tea or anything with additives; the full care guidance is under Water, use and care above.
How can I pay?
By credit or debit card or Apple Pay at the secure Shopify checkout, or cash on delivery inside the UAE (our courier collects when the parcel arrives). We do not offer Tabby or Tamara instalments at the moment. Prices are in AED; for UAE orders VAT is included.
How do I reach a human in the GCC time zone?
WhatsApp +971 54 541 1994 or email info@peakspanh2.com. We are in Dubai (GMT+4) and answer in English and Arabic during UAE business hours; every message gets a reply from a person, not an automated bot.
Evidence, labs and documentsWho tested what, on which sample, and what the report does not cover.
Do you have a test proving the hydrogen concentration?
Yes for one submitted H88 sample, and we say whose test it is. Guangdong Quantum Testing Technology Co., Ltd measured 8,600 PPB (8.6 PPM) dissolved hydrogen in the sealed cup immediately after one 10-minute cycle, under T/GDID 1007-2018 (LH2025110014-1, dated 1 December 2025). The manufacturer commissioned the test. It covers one sample and one condition, not every production unit or a health outcome. The W10-2 pitcher runs at a gentler everyday concentration for bigger volumes; it has no equivalent test, so no figure is published.
What does the lab report actually say, and what does it not say?
It says: Guangdong Quantum Testing Technology Co., Ltd measured 8,600 PPB of dissolved molecular hydrogen in the sealed cup immediately after one 10-minute cycle, in distilled water, under method T/GDID 1007-2018, report LH2025110014-1, dated 1 December 2025, commissioned by the manufacturer, on a submitted H88 sample. A second report, LH2025110015-1, records ozone as not detected in water from the same submitted sample under GB/T 5750.11-2023. It does not say: that every unit coming off the production line performs the same way; that the figure holds once the cup is opened; that tap, mineral or filtered water gives the same result; that the device is safe or effective for any person or condition; or that Peakspan measured anything at all. It is a report on submitted samples under stated conditions, which is exactly why we print the conditions beside the number every single time. Both reports are published in full, with their limits spelled out, on the Documents page.
Does it leave ozone or chlorine in the water?
QTT found ozone not detected in water from the submitted H88 sample immediately after one 10-minute cycle under GB/T 5750.11-2023 (LH2025110015-1, manufacturer-commissioned). The report does not identify or validate the membrane material and does not establish every production unit. No chlorine test exists, so no chlorine claim is made.
Is it really BPA free, or is that just a claim?
Only for the submitted parts. Report ZTS26062239DRC identifies its two samples as a Tritan cup body and aluminium lid; BPA was not detected at a 0.05 mg/kg reporting limit. The electrode and membrane assembly was not tested, the cited regulations do not align cleanly with the declared materials, and this is not FDA approval or evidence about every production unit.
What certificates do you actually hold?
Nine third-party documents are published in full: two QTT water reports for submitted H88 samples, a two-part food-contact sample report, a UN 38.3 battery report for each of the two batteries, CE EMC, RoHS, FCC supplier declaration and a battery safety data sheet. Each page states who commissioned or received it, the models or parts named, and what it does not prove. None is a blanket product or health approval. Every one of them, with issuer, number, date, scope and the list of what we are still missing, is on the Documents page.
Why do you publish what you don't know?
Because the gaps are the part you cannot check for yourself. Anyone can print a large number; almost nobody prints the sentence underneath it saying which sample it came from and what it does not cover. The rule here is plain: every figure carries its source, and a laboratory result is named with its issuer and report number, and open production details are confirmed with the factory rather than quietly rounded up. The reasoning behind that policy is on the About page; every held document is on the Documents page.
Where can I read the studies?
On the Science page. Ten human studies are summarised there with their populations, protocols and limitations, and each links to its record so you can read the source yourself. They are studies about molecular hydrogen, not about this bottle: they do not establish that any Peakspan device prevents, treats or cures anything. Read them on the Science page.
Safety, status and who we areWhat these devices are not, and who stands behind them.
Is this a medical device?
No. Peakspan H2 products are wellness and hydration devices. These statements have not been evaluated by a medical authority, and Peakspan H2 products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Is hydrogen water safe?
This site cannot give individual safety advice. Peakspan devices are not medical devices; if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a condition, ask a qualified clinician before changing your routine.
Can I use it while pregnant or on medication?
This site cannot give individual medical advice. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication, ask a qualified clinician before changing your routine.
Can children use it?
We publish no guidance for children, because we have none worth publishing. These are hydration devices, not medical devices, and a question about a specific child belongs with a qualified clinician rather than a product page. The battery and electronics also make the Flask an adult item to charge and operate.
Who is behind Peakspan H2?
Peakspan H2 is a brand of 1313 GEROPROTECT L.L.C-FZ, a Meydan Free Zone company in Dubai, with an office in Shenzhen. The same entity is the seller of record, so the company that processes your order is the company that answers your email and handles returns or faults. More on why we started with hydrogen, and how we decide what to publish, is on the About page.
How do I reach a human?
Email info@peakspanh2.com, message +971 54 541 1994 on WhatsApp, or call the same number. There is no chatbot and no ticket maze. If your question is about a document or a figure on this site, quote the report number and we will answer with the report. Everything is on the Contact page.
